Description
Rooibos tea is generally harvested during the summer months in Southern Africa. The tea is handpicked and then bruised and cut. (Fermentation, which is the next stage turns the tea red)
Green Rooibos tea contains no colors, additives or preservatives, making it a natural beverage. Green Rooibos has a higher concentration of nutrients than Red Rooibos Tea.
Origin: Southern Africa
Preparation/Serving: Put half a teaspoon of Rooibos in a tea infuser and add water just off the boil. Let the tea infuse for atleast 7 minutes. Rooibos can also be drunk cold.

• In Southern Africa Rooibos has been used to treat allergies such as hay fever, asthma and eczema.
• It is also used to treat irritated skin. Rooibos is brewed and placed directly on infected areas.
• Rooibos contains the minerals, copper, iron and potassium, calcium, fluoride, zinc, manganese, alpha- hydroxy ( for healthy skin ) and magnesium ( for the nervous system ).
• A low tannin tea with high contents of minerals and polyphenols.
